OutsideOnline.com features Competitive Cyclist Racing Team's Training Camp

In an article about 'Why Domestic Racing Matters', OutsideOnline.com reviews the Competitive Cyclist Racing Team's training camp: "This week I had the chance to spend a few days at the Tucson training camp with the Competitive Cyclist racing team. One of a few notable domestic pro cycling outfits, this team leapt onto the US racing scene last year with overall wins at five National Racing Calendar (NRC) events, as well as an anomalous award for 2011's top rider in the NRC. (More on that in a minute.) If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't be alarmed—neither do lots of American cycling enthusiasts. Read on."

Stage 7 of the Tour of Utah from the Competitive Cyclist Racing Team team car

First hand experience riding along with the Competitive Cyclist Racing Team car. "This weekend, I had the opportunity to ride in the Competitive Cyclist team car on the sixth and final stage of the 550 mile (885 km) Tour of Utah. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be in a team car so I jumped at the opportunity. It was a 76.7 mile (123.5 km) stage with 6800 feet of climbing (2000 m), beginning and ending in Park City, Utah. I was warned by the PR folks and other cycling photographers that being in a car probably wouldn’t be the best for photos, and they were right. On the other hand, I’ve never had such an intimate, inside look at roadracing before – not to mention getting to experience the chaos of the support convoy."
